Access to the World with a Grenadian Passport
Importantly, by investing in this latest project, investors can benefit from Grenada’s Citizenship Investment Programme. This allows Grenadian passport holders to enter visa free (or visa upon entry) to over 130 countries including quite uniquely China, the Schengen countries, Singapore and the UK amongst many others.
In order to apply for a Grenada Passport, applicants can either invest US$ 300,000 in approved real estate projects such as The Six Senses La Sagesse development and hold this investment for 5 years. An approved project’ is defined under Section 3 of the Grenada Citizenship by Investment Act, 2013 as “a project that is approved by the Minister following the review and recommendation of the Citizenship by Investment Committee.”
Upon the completion of the holding period, the investor can exit this investment without any detriment to their Grenadian Citizenship which, subject to due diligence and approvals should be granted 3 to 6 months after applications are submitted. The investor may then enjoy capital gains and returns from his/her investment as well as the lifetime benefit of this passport. Applicants can include their dependents and once granted, this can be passed from one generation to the next. Alternatively, investors can contribute a donation to the National Transformation Fund of US$ 200,000.
An additional unique benefit of the Grenada Citizenship (launched in 2013) is that it is a Treaty country, therefore Grenadians may apply to without having any detrimental US tax issues.
This new approved project is truly a unique investment opportunity for those investors seeking a reliable hotel industry investment, being developed by global hoteliers and high-end developers, offering a unique gateway to global mobility and favorable yields.
