Montenegro Citizenship by Investment rules are changing.
The Montenegro Government has now extended the deadline to 1st April 2019 for new due diligence firms to apply for having previously rejected applications from 13 firms.
The Montenegro Citizenship by Investment Program requirements
Montenegro’s Citizenship Investment program and has an annual cap of 2,000 approvals per annum and will run for the next three years. The programme requires a donation of EUR 100,00 for the development of poor communities plus an investment of EUR 250,000 in the north to EUR 450,000 in Podgorica/the coast.
The Montenegro government has previously rejected 13 due diligence firms applications. These applications were submitted from:

Why is the Montenegro Citizenship by Investment program in demand?
Montenegro Citizenship is sought after for its visa-free travel to over 120 countries and potential EU membership by 2025. This relatively young program offers an affordable path to EU residency, facilitating travel, residence, and work across the EU. Additionally, Montenegrin citizenship qualifies passport holders for the E-2 investor visa in the U.S.
